Garmin vívofit junior2 BB-8 (Stretch) is a smart bracelet for kids with the famous Star Wars character. The wristwatch bracelet comes with several varied features beneficial both for kids and their parents. The bracelet shows the kids how physically active they are throughout the day, it counts how many steps they make every day and also how much time they spend in intense, healthy exercise. At the same time, the bracelet represents a useful tool with which parents can assign their children with different housework and responsibilities. Parents can create a task for their kids and set an alarm with a picture and text to tell them that it is time to do their homework or brush their teeth and go to bed.
To use all the features of the Garmin vívofit junior2 bracelet, it is necessary to install the vívofit jr. app to your mobile phone. The app is free to download for any Android and iOS phones and it is then under the full control of the parent. During the first startup, it creates a virtual family which all members of the real family can connect to with their Garmin devices and then compare their achieved results. It creates a profile for each child with a name and a photo that will be displayed on the display of the bracelet. The app then pairs the vívofit junior bracelet with a mobile phone via Bluetooth. This fully activates the bracelet and from that point on, the bracelet can be synchronised with the parent's phone to transfer data whenever it is located within the phone's proximity.
The Garmin vívofit bracelet works as a step counter as it counts how many steps your kids make per day, and then shows how they perform compared to other family members. It also counts how much time is dedicated to healthy exercise and it shows how many times they fulfil the minimum daily 60-minute task. Parents can view a time graph on their phone and monitor the times when their kids are active and when inactive. If a child is wearing the vívofit junior2 bracelet at night, their sleep length and quality are also monitored by the app - the time spent in deep sleep, light sleep or the nighttime activity, when the child wakes up and can't fall asleep.
Another essential feature of the Garmin vívofit junior2 bracelet is housework (duties) and rewards for their fulfilment. Parents can choose from a range of many pre-set tasks in the app to assign, or they can create and name their own tasks at their discretion. It can be, for example, putting away their toys, assisting in the kitchen, musical instrument exercises, vacuuming, and so on. It also sets how often children have to fulfil their duty - every day, only on the weekends, on selected days, etc. Optionally, you can set the alarm at a certain time, the Garmin bracelet will then alert the children with beeping and a picture with a text that it is time to feed their hamster, do homework, or brush their teeth and go to bed.
Garmin bracelet vívofit Junior2 BB-8 has a buckle on the wrist for up to 147mm (for children aged approximately 4 to 7 years). However, the device is compatible with "adult" straps for Vívofit3.
The bracelets are durable and waterproof, the children can shower and swim in the pool while wearing them. There is no need to recharge them, as the replaceable battery lasts for more than 1 year of operation.
