Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Super Mario Galaxy 2 Nintendo Switch take you on a journey into a colourful and magical universe where you'll meet unforgettable characters. The star of both games is of course Mario, who is ready to save Princess Peach and defeat Bowser. At some points, you can take control of his brother Luigi after completing certain tasks, allowing you to try out different gameplay options. There is also Bowser and his son Bowser Jr., who represent the main villains that Mario must overcome.

In the world of Super Mario Galaxy, you'll also meet the mysterious Rosalina, who travels the universe in her observatory and takes care of little Luma. Lumas are star-like beings with unique shapeshifting abilities that help Mario on his journey. Princess Peach is the friendly ruler of the Mushroom Empire and Toad faithfully assists her, while Super Mario Galaxy 2 adds Lubba, the captain and navigator of Mario's ship, as well as the popular Yoshi, who appears in certain levels and offers new gameplay options.

Mario gains super powers
You can look forward to great transformations that Mario gets thanks to special mushrooms. He can fly for short periods of time, to sail through solid obstacles, smashing objects, sliding on the ice, throwing ice at the enemy, shooting fireballs, create clouds to build or run fast sprints with the help of Dash Pepper. Yoshi also has his own abilities, with Blimp Fruit he can inflate like a balloon, allowing Mario to take off briefly, and with Bulb Berry he lights up the surroundings to reveal invisible platforms.
