Uniprocessor server can be expanded by another processor executed in a format designed to store 2U Rack Rack.It is designed to operate as a separate environment, but also as part of the Cisco Unified Computing System.This compact server combines the flexible disk storage and rich I/O configuration with innovations from Cisco, including support for the unity of standardized network infrastructure and technologies for virtualization, Cisco VN-Link.Its use is ideal asWeb server, e-mail server, file server as an application server for local small and remote site or as part of data center virtualization.
The server comes in configurations with no hard drive fitted.Optional drives (up to 16) are supported for both SAS and SATA interfaces.Loaded disks can be configured in RAID 0/1.Positions are hot-swappable for quick installation/replacement.There is also the possibility of extension as well as expansion cards, there are 5 PCI slots.Network connectivity is provided by dual RJ-45 output rates up to 1 Gbit/s.In the case of retrofitting an optional adapter or CNA Cisco UCS P81E can reach up to 10 Gigabit connectivity.On the front panel, see DVD-RW drive, LED and video output interfaces including VGA, serial console port and two USB 20 ports.
