Fragmentation

After a failed suicide attempt, a mother of three is hospitalised in a psychiatric facility. Her pathological personality had previously managed to destroy everyone who lived with her under one roof: her weak-willed husband, her seemingly pragmatic daughter Radana, her vulnerable and fragile daughter Jindřiška, and her superficial son Leoš. Now, her doctors have declared her cured and she can return to her normal life. This news causes anxiety and fear in her loved ones, who worry about a return to the bad old days. Are their fears unfounded, or has their nightmare not yet ended? The psychological novel Roztříštění (Shattered) presents a dark and depressing story about the destructive power of a disturbed psyche.
