You've probably already experienced the nightmare of a power supply interruption minutes before you finished working. Your work is irretrievably lost, and you have to start all over again. Such uncomfortable (to put it mildly) situations can be averted by the Fortron iFP 1500 backup power supply. In principle, this hardware is just a premium battery backup that powers all appliances needing electricity. The Fortron iFP 1500 UPS uses the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is seen as the most basic form in case of a black-out, since it connects to the battery and disconnects from the mains power. The line interactive UPS also adds voltage regulation to prevent damage from dangerous surges and spikes.
An important attribute is the UPS run time during outages. This is governed by the energy consumption – for example, at half-load (50%), the backup time will last a longer amount of time. It is therefore necessary to estimate the energy consumption of the connected electronics and it is a good idea to have some extra power left. The Fortron iFP 1500 specifies the apparent power as 1500, but realistically, the actual power usage is 900 W.
