The story behind Fire Emblem: Awakening is a clash between two characters, one of whom you can design. Not totally, but the scale of customisation is incredibly in-depth and influences not only the appearance of the character, but also its qualities and abilities. There's only one thing you can’t change - the fire emblem that your character wears.
The story of the game begins with your encounter with Krom, the Prince of the Kingdom of Iris, who carries an identical fire emblem to you. The proximity of both ornaments generates power that awakens a pair of dragons from a deep sleep. The dragons are so enraged they decide to devastate the entire continent. And that's just the beginning of your problems ...
Playability
In the face of a gigantic enemy and many other problems, you join Krom and his group so you can avert catastrophe and restore order.
To reach your goal you must move your units along a grid-shaped battlefield and devise the perfect plan of attack. You'll need to account for terrain, weapons and warrior classes. Even the personal bond between allies can sway the tide of battle.
In short, it's a turn-based strategy when you alternate with the opponent in rounds. You have unlimited time to make your moves. If you hit the enemy, you can choose which weapon you want to use for your attack. The game then switches to animation mode where you can watch an awesome video of your battle.
