The Polaroid polarising filter reduces unwanted reflections. It filters the light polarised in reflections from glossy, non-metallic surfaces, such as glass. Unlike the linear polarizer, the circular polarising filter supports fully automatic focus and exposure metering. The filter is made of optical glass and has an aluminium rotary ring for higher durability and expansion resistance because of temperature changes.
The Polaroid UV filter is a great tool ideal for outdoor photography. It absorbs ultraviolet light and reduces the bluish cast of daylight, so the image has the optimum colour. The multi-layer coating reduces reflections, preserves neutral colours and light transmission. The UV filter does not affect colour or contrast changes, so you can combine it with other filters.
The grey neutral filter enables you to darken the scene so you can shoot using a wider aperture and longer shutter speeds. This allows you to create unique images of live sceneries. The light reduction is variable from 1.3 to 8.6 EV degrees. You can set the degree of the grey density with a rotary ring. The filter does not affect colour reproduction and can, therefore, be used with other filters. The front part of the filter thread is larger than the part of the mounting thread, which reduces the risk of vignetting.
