Felt brand

Felt was founded by Jim Mott the motocross mechanic after designing and building a triathlon bike for the motocross star Johny O'Mar in 1980. O'Mar later went on to win the California Times Championship. In 1994, Jim moved into cycling and founded Felt Bicycles in 1994, first under the patronage of Answers Products and expanded to Europe in 2000 where he expanded his portfolio of mountain bikes and BMXs. Felt develops closely with professionals within the industry. Its wheels are also tested and developed in wind tunnels for maximum performance.
