When choosing the right fan, think about where the fan will be located and how it will be used. There are desk, classic pedestal, column and ceiling ones.
- To refresh yourself when sitting by the computer you need a small table fan.
- If you need to cool the entire room, choose the column or classic pedestal fan.
- If you do not want the fan to obstruct in the room, choose a ceiling fan. But please be aware that a professional installation may be necessary.

Other important parameters are the performance, size, and the number of speeds. Size is especially important for the pedestal fans - it is defined by the fan diameter. The standard size is 40 cm. Given that each one of us prefers a different temperature, choose a fan with multiple speeds. One important factor to keep in mind is the noise- something very unwelcome when sleeping, for example. Quieter fans are more expensive, but the extra comfort is worth the money. The rule here is, the fewer dB (decibels), the lower the noise.
