The Pascal GP104 graphics core features 2 560 CUDA cores with 160 texture units. The basic core clock is 1,721 MHz and during the Boost mode it shoots up to an impressive 1,860 MHz.

The GTX 1080 from EVGA has a unique cooling system
The EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 GAMING iCX graphics card features a patented cooling architecture. This rests on a completely different approach to controlling fan speeds. So far, the standard has been the only temperature sensor for the whole printed graphics card connection, but the new EVGA architecture changes this concept. A total of nine sensors thus adds a much better overview of the current status of the card. The fan pair operates in asynchronous mode, which promises lower speed and lower volume compared to synchronous wiring. The left fan speed is governed by the temperature of the graphics chip, while the right fan evaluates the temperature of all temperature sensors.
