Together with an increased supply of gaming hits, the NVIDIA company has also introduced its new release. We are talking about the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW2 GAMING iCX graphics card. With its performance, the card is placed just below the GTX 1080, giving us a pretty good idea of its performance. The GTX 1070 Ti can easily handle all games in QHD resolution, but there is no need to be afraid of the 4K resolution either. And we are not even mentioning a hardware support for virtual reality.
The NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti graphics card benefits from the performance of the well-tuned Pascal GP104 chip. In comparison to the more powerful GTX 1080, the hardware specifications of the chip are just slightly worse. After all, the GTX 1070 Ti features 2432 CUDA cores, 152 texture and 64 rasterisation units. Taking into consideration the stunningly high specifications of the GTX 1070 Ti chip, there has also been a logical increase in the overall consumption, which is now up to 180W.
The EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW2 GAMING iCX graphics card is equipped with the iCX technology that provides 9 thermal sensors - one is situated near the graphics chip, three of them can be found near the memory modules, and the remaining five are close to the power supply unit. This results in more efficient cooling, and increase in both the card's performance and lifespan. A pair of fans works in an asynchronous mode. The graphics chip temperature controls the left fan's speed, whereas the right fan is subject to a temperature evaluation by the other thermal sensors.
