The Engl Fireball 25 tube amplifier is based on its more powerful 50 and 100 watt counterparts. It retains the hi-gain metal sound, just in a smaller package. It is a two-channel amplifier with clear controls. The clean channel starts on a clear distinct tone and ends on a rock crunch. The distorted channel (lead) picks up where the clean one leaves off and continues into a heavily metallic ultra hi-gain. The advantage of the Engl Fireball 25 amplifier is the ability to attenuate with the Power Soak switch (only works when the 8ohm box is connected), which allows you to reduce the power to 1W and get full tube sound even at room volume.
You can adjust the sound using the three-band EQ, Presence potentiometer, or kick it up a notch with the mid-boost function (the function is controlled by footswitch). Other functions are represented by a noise gate on the rear panel, an effects loop, a line output and inputs for footswitches. You can connect 8 and 16 ohm speakers to the amplifier.
