If you have a well at home, you probably know that if the water is less than 9 metres deep a submersible pump is needed for pumping. One of the most popular submersible pumps is the Elpumps VP 300 with a capacity of 1440 litres/hour. In the event of impedance or flooding, the pump motor is protected by a thermal fuse. The pump weighs only 5kg, this due to the use of aluminium instead of the more conventional stainless steel.
