Eaton UPS 3P Ellipse 1300 USB IEC

Eaton UPS 3P Ellipse 1300 USB IEC
The Eaton UPS 3P Ellipse 1300 USB IEC backup power supply with off-line topology provides a reliable power source for workstations and sensitive electronics. It delivers an apparent power of 1300VA and a real power of 840W, which is enough to power a PC and its accessories. At full load, it keeps connected devices running for 1 minute and operates with a high efficiency of 97%. This 840W UPS effectively protects connected electronics from power outages and network instability using automatic voltage regulation. It offers eight IEC C13 sockets for connection, and a USB port handles communication with your computer. Its compact tower design with quiet operation under 25dB completes its functional features.
Key features of the Eaton UPS 3P Ellipse 1300 USB IEC backup power supply
- Off-line topology and automatic voltage regulation
- User-replaceable batteries with deep-discharge protection
- Ability to start from the battery without a mains supply
- Software for shutdown management and power monitoring
- USB port for communication with HID support
- Separate output sockets for essential and non-essential devices
- Compact tower design and quiet operation
Power and efficiency
This off-line UPS operates with an apparent power of 1300VA and a real power of 840W. At full load, it achieves 97% efficiency. The automatic voltage regulation feature compensates for fluctuations in the input voltage without switching to the battery, thereby saving its capacity. At 100% load, it powers devices from the battery for 1 minute.
Battery and protection features
The power supply is powered by a pair of maintenance-free lead-acid batteries with 2×12V/7Ah parameters. The user can easily replace the batteries, and deep-discharge protection extends their lifespan. The cold start function allows the unit to start directly from the batteries even without a mains power supply. The unit also integrates surge protection for connected devices.
Management and software
The USB port provides a connection to your computer and is compatible with the HID protocol. This support enables the operating system to recognise the power supply as a native battery device without needing to install specific drivers for basic power management. For advanced functions, the included Eaton UPS Companion software is provided. It supports safe automated system shutdown during a prolonged outage, measures energy consumption, and configures the backup power supply's operating parameters, such as voltage thresholds for AVR activation or alarm sensitivity.
Connectivity and sockets
The unit uses a standard IEC C14 input connector for its own power. For output, it offers a total of eight IEC C13 sockets, which are practically divided into two groups. The first group contains four fully backed-up sockets for critical devices such as a computer, monitor, or network storage. The second group offers four sockets that provide surge protection only. These sockets are intended for peripherals like printers or speakers, which do not require battery backup but need protection from voltage spikes.
