The Dräger Interlock 5000 F is an alcohol measuring instrument with vehicle immobiliser. After a simple breath alcohol measurement, it ensures a safe start in road traffic. The alcohol interlock measures the alcohol concentration in the breath of the driver and releases the engine only if the breath test was passed. The Interlock 5000 F thus reliably helps protect against the risks of driving under the influence of alcohol. Operation is supported by a large display and therefore simple and intuitive. The mouthpiece can easily be replaced, and is hygienic and biodegradable. The Interlock 5000 F has an ergonomic design and a sturdy reliable construction.
Dräger stores all relevant data in the control unit. This includes the alcohol concentration in the measured breath, breath tests, engine startup and shutdown and effort to manipulate the system. The data can be downloaded via an infrared interface and then be analysed. The data is protected with special encryption methods. Interlock 5000 F requires access rights and the appropriate software and hardware to download
It is necessary to have the Dräger Alcohol Tests calibrated at the interval specified by the manufacturer. For most models, the recommended calibration interval is 6 months, but for the Dräger Alcotest 3820 the interval is 12 months. For the next calibration, refer to the adhesive sticker affixed to the alcohol test.
