SuperResolution
SuperResolution is a technology for increasing image resolution and emphasizing details using software processing. From a thermal image, the software creates an image with more displayed pixels than the camera's detector itself has. The result is a sharper image with more readable outlines, even of smaller objects. The improvement concerns the display; the physical resolution of the detector remains the same. The technology is useful wherever it is important to recognize fine details, for example when inspecting equipment or observing. The specific algorithms and results may differ depending on the manufacturer and model.
