SD video resolution

SD resolution, short for Standard Definition, refers to an older video quality standard that most commonly corresponds to 720x576 picture elements, also known as pixels. A pixel is the smallest unit of a digital image, and their total number determines the level of detail. Videos at this resolution have lower sharpness and fewer details compared to more modern formats like HD or Full HD. For dashcam footage, this can mean worse readability of license plates of other vehicles or road signs, especially at a greater distance or in poor lighting conditions.
