Often referred to as a "buzzer", the line continuity function in multimeters allows you to detect electrical continuity between two points on a circuit. When the circuit is closed (continuous), the multimeter emits an audible signal. This feature is useful for quickly and easily identifying broken wires or bad connections without having to look at the instrument display.
