An FM transmitter is a device that transmits sound (such as music or a call) from a mobile device (such as a smartphone) to an FM radio. The output current of an FM transmitter determines how strong a signal the transmitter can send. A higher output current generally means a stronger signal, but it can also mean higher power consumption.
