Benchtop Band Saw

A benchtop band saw is a stationary machine that is mounted on a workbench or a workshop stand. An endless saw band runs between two or three wheels and passes through a work table on which the material is guided to the saw band. The operator feeds the material by hand or with a fence, which allows precise guidance of the cut. The saw is suitable for cutting wood, plastics and, depending on the model, non-ferrous metals. It also makes it possible to cut more complex shapes and curves. Compared to a handheld band saw, it offers higher stability, accuracy and comfort during repeated cuts, but it is not portable.
