It is quite sufficient for the animals to leave the area protected by the scarecrow. The Alarm is also highly resistant to dust, water, snow, humidity, high temperature and frost and can be used in temperatures from -25 to 80 °C. Powered by a 9V battery, the 9V lithium battery will keep it running for 12 months, while the 9V alkaline battery will keep it running for 6 months.
