The D-Link DUB-1312 USB 3.0 USB Adapter was created primarily for thin notebooks and ultrabooks that were not equipped with a classic network connector because of their small size. Otherwise, the D-Link DUB-1312 can replace the network card on a desktop or laptop computer. Just connect this external network card to the free USB port of your computer and connect the Gigabit Ethernet network cable to the other side. However, if you connect to an older version of USB, you need to consider lowering the baud rate (USB 2.0 throughput is max. 480 MB/s). As with a regular network port, there is no LED traffic indication.
