The DCS-5222L cloud HD camera is capable of shooting day and night and is a versatile surveillance solution for a home or small office. Unlike a regular webcam, the D-Link camera is a standalone system that without having to be connected to a computer, can transfer and record high-quality images on a memory card. It is equipped with a DI / DO port for connecting it to a variety of external devices such as an alarm, a microphone, an external speaker connector and a motion detector. Through the mydlink app, you can set up a free mydlink account which allows you to view and manage your camera from any Internet connected computer, iPhone, iPad or Android app device.
The interesting and practical motion detection feature can send warning emails with photos or videos to alert you of activity. This cloud-enabled camera includes a microSD card (max 32GB) slot to record audio and video directly onto the camera, without the need of a computer being switched on. You can setup the camera to record only when motion is detected, or continuously, via the camera’s intuitive web interface. Once the microSD card is at capacity, older footage will be recorded over. You can watch and examine recorded video directly from the mydlink portal later on from anywhere, at any time.
The swift and responsive rotating / tilt control means you will have everything under control. You can quickly see a wide area from multiple angles, with 4x digital zoom for closer scrutiny.

EPTZ uses the high HD resolution of the camera and allows you to select the destination area for a more detailed view by clicking the video displayed in the browser. If you need to look closer at a particular part of the room, simply select the area and the digital zoom will give you the preview.
