CyberPower UT850EG

CyberPower UT850EG
The CyberPower UT850EG UPS operates with line-interactive topology and provides power protection for computers and network devices. It offers an apparent power of 850VA and a real power of 425W. When running on battery, it generates an output voltage of 230V AC ± 10% in the form of a simulated sine wave. The backup time is 30 minutes at a 60W load and 20 minutes at 90W. The patented GreenPower UPS Bypass design actively reduces its own energy consumption, contributing to lower running costs and longer battery life. Thanks to its compact Tower design, the UPS fits easily on a desk or in limited spaces.
Key features of the CyberPower UT850EG UPS

- Features patented GreenPower UPS Bypass technology for energy savings
- Provides data and telephone network protection
- Enables power management via PowerPanel Personal software
- Supports generator power
- Has a clear LED status indicator
- Offers a compact Tower case design
Stable power supply with AVR technology
The UPS uses line-interactive topology, which is the foundation for effective power protection. A key feature is Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR). Using a single boost and a single buck stage, it actively stabilises fluctuations within the 165V to 290V input range. It supplies connected devices with a stable voltage without unnecessarily switching to battery power. It automatically detects the input frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz. When switching to battery, it controls the output frequency at 50Hz or 60Hz.
Protective features
The integrated battery is not user-replaceable and takes approximately 6 hours to fully charge from empty. The UPS supports starting from the battery without an input power supply. Surge protection with energy absorption is complemented by an EMI and RFI filter, which suppresses electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. Overload protection is handled by an internal current limiter and a physical fuse. The transfer to battery power during a mains failure typically takes 4ms. Operational reliability is also supported by generator compatibility and a wide operating temperature range of 0°C to 40°C at 0 to 90% humidity.
Software and connectivity options
Communication with a computer is handled by a USB port that fully supports the HID interface. The system therefore recognises it without needing to install additional drivers. The PowerPanel Personal software is used for UPS management, providing an overview of its status and allowing for its configuration. A clear LED indicator on the front panel visually communicates the status. Audible alarms warn of a switch to battery mode, a low charge level, or an overload. A fixed 1.2-metre cable with a Schuko plug is used for connecting to the mains. For powering appliances, it offers three output sockets, also of the Schuko type. All three outputs provide both battery backup and surge protection. The equipment also includes RJ-45 data network and RJ-11 telephone line protection, which protects connected devices from voltage spikes travelling along metallic lines.
