A key attribute is the UPS run time during outages. This is governed by the energy consumption – for example, at half-load (50%), the backup time can last up to three times as long. The load of the backup source defines the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 3,5 min and at a load of 50%, it's 14 min. It is therefore essential to estimate the energy consumption of the connected computers, monitors and other electronics and ideally to have some extra power left. The CyberPower OR1000ERM1U measures the apparent power as 1000, but realistically, the actual usage matches the value of 600 W.
