The line interactive UPS also adds voltage regulation to prevent damage from electrical surges from the grid.

A key attribute is the UPS run time during outages. This is governed by the power consumption of the connected electronics – for example, at half-load (50%), the backup time will last a longer amount of time. The load of the UPS determines the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 2 min and at half-load, it's 9 min. It is therefore necessary to calculate the energy consumption of the connected computers, monitors and other electronics and ideally to have some extra power left. The CyberPower BR1200ELCD specifies the apparent power as 1200, but with realistic use, the actual usage matches the value of 720 W.
