A chamber story of a successful Czech author who ends where darkness begins
Twelve-year-old Bára is currently on the threshold of adolescence. She exhibits art talent, but also a natural and sometimes unmanageable nature. With the onset of puberty, the conflict between her spontaneity and her mother's desire for an uncomplicated life dramatically deepens. Especially in contrast to her slightly older, yielding sister.
The more Bára wants to realize her nature, the more intensely her surroundings strive to control these incomprehensible and average needs beyond her control. Her talent is noticed by a young art teacher, nicknamed Frodo, who offers her a sensitive support in the struggle with the family's demands, which also hide very dark places under the façade of outer order. But Bára still loses her war in the trenches of misunderstanding. Her only allies become crows nesting in front of the windows in the park. Crows that present the natural instinct permeating animal and human lives.
A world to which Bára is increasingly connected. Will anyone offer her real help? Is there any way out?
