Coleman Darwin 2 is a reliable tent that occupies a minimum of space and can be easily and quickly assembled. The tent consists of 2 layers, the top tent (tropiko) is made of polyester and polyurethane coated with taped seams. A fabric's waterproof properties are measured using a rating called its hydrostatic head. This tent has a hydrostatic head of 3000mm which means that a 3 metre column of water can be placed on its surface before any drops will show through the underside of the fabric. The inside tent is made of breathable polyester combined with an opaque mesh, while the waterproof flooring is made of polyethylene. The whole tent owes its compact shape to 2 crossed fiberglass poles (Fibreglass), which can be securely anchored with spikes. Certified laboratory testing proves Coleman UVGuard protection fabrics with an SPF50 provide excellent protection against the sun’s ultraviolet rays. At the same time, it extends the life of the tent by not degrading the material under the influence of UV radiation. The fire retardant characteristic of the material ensures that the fabric will not flare dangerously out of control and will extinguish itself, giving you time to escape in the event of an emergency.
