This lens uses CANON UD, the purpose of which is to suppress the influence of secondary chromatic aberrations. SUPER SPECTRA coatings have been applied to minimise shadow and glare effects. This is particularly important for maintaining true colour balance and sharp images. Only environmentally friendly lead-free glass was used in its production.
