The filter status is highlighted by the light. 

• Green means full filter efficiency. The LED turns on and off 3 times.
• Yellow warns that it will soon be necessary to replace the filter. Filtration is still effective. The LED flashes 3 times.
• Red warns that the filter must be replaced. The LED flashes 6 times.
• Once the filter is replaced, reset the alarm. Hold the Brita Smart Light button for about 5 seconds. The green LED will turn on and off 3 times.
