BOSCH SMV6ECX20E Series 6
BOSCH SMV6ECX20E Serie 6 built-in dishwasher
The BOSCH SMV6ECX20E Serie 6 is a 60cm wide, fully integrated dishwasher with an A-class energy rating. It holds up to 14 place settings while remaining pleasantly quiet (42dB). EfficientDry ensures convenient drying by automatically opening the door, while the Extra Clean Zone in the upper basket delivers a superior clean. The TimeLight, which projects onto the floor, provides a practical overview during the wash cycle, and you'll appreciate the Emotion Light interior lighting when loading and unloading. Smart features are also available in the Home Connect app, including Smart Start, which lets you choose an energy-saving start time.
Efficient water use
Rinsing technology that maximises efficiency and provides an eco-friendly rinse for the best washing results.
Extremely quiet operation
High washing performance with low noise levels. The SilentPowerDrive motor saves energy and reduces noise.
Automatic temperature selection
This programme saves both water and energy. The dishwasher automatically determines the amount of water, its temperature, and the rinse time based on how dirty the dishes are.
Water cut-off in case of a fault
Protection against water leaks using special sensors. If a leak is detected, the dishwasher stops itself and drains the water away.
Silence Plus 42dB
The dishwasher operates at just 42dB, so it won't be a disturbance, even in an open-plan kitchen and living room.

Favourite

Automatic door opening before the end of the programme
Unloading dishes that aren't completely dry or are still too hot can be a nuisance. With the EfficientDry function, the dishwasher door opens automatically at the end of the wash cycle, a very practical solution that improves the drying process. This also prevents condensation and allows the dishes to cool gently, so you can put your plates straight onto the shelves without having to dry them. What's more, this technology also saves you energy.
Green Collection dishwashers
Our A-rated dishwashers, made in Germany, contain a proportion of CO₂-reduced stainless steel. This specially manufactured material is carefully tracked and allocated to these dishwashers via a certified mass balance system.* Compared to conventional stainless steel, it has a carbon footprint that is up to 40% lower.**
*During production, CO₂-reduced stainless steel is mixed with conventional stainless steel, but it is designated for our A energy efficiency class dishwashers based on a mass balance calculation (according to ISO 22095), verified and confirmed by TÜV Rheinland.
**CO₂-reduced stainless steel is made from 95% higher-quality recycled material. The comparison is against conventional stainless steel used in the production of our dishwashers.
Extra Clean Zone
Dried-on residue on bowls or cereal stuck to the bottom are no longer a problem. The Extra Clean Zone in the upper basket uses three rotating water jets for a more intensive soak – without needing to add more detergent or increase the temperature more than necessary.
TimeLight
With fully integrated dishwashers, it's often hard to tell what stage the cycle is at. TimeLight projects the remaining time and programme status onto the floor, giving you an instant overview even when the door is closed.
Rackmatic
When loading the dishwasher, you sometimes need a little more space at the top – for stemmed glasses or taller cookware, for example. The Rackmatic system helps with this, allowing you to adjust the position of the upper basket to three different levels. This gives you the flexibility to place bulky or tall items exactly where you need them.
Home Connect
Get the most out of your smart dishwasher. The Home Connect app lets you control the BOSCH SMV6ECX20E Serie 6 dishwasher directly from your smartphone – easily select the ideal programme, check the current status, set notifications, and better tailor the wash to your needs. The Smart Start function and other options are also handy, making everyday operation easier.
Smart Start
Smart Start helps you manage your appliance's energy consumption more strategically. This feature automatically selects the dishwasher's start time based on one of two presets you can configure in the Home Connect app, which considers two parameters within the wash cycle: The availability and proportion of renewable energy (like solar or wind) or lower energy costs when your electricity rates are at their lowest.*
*Cost savings require a compatible high and low electricity tariff switching system. Optimisation is performed either to maximise the share of renewable energy in the grid or to reduce costs. Feature availability may vary by country.
Hygienically tested BOSCH dishwasher
In a BOSCH dishwasher, viruses like corona and influenza are effectively eliminated even with the Eco 50°C programme, as tested by the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology (Hygiene Level 1 label). Even higher levels of hygiene can be achieved by using higher-temperature programmes in your BOSCH dishwasher, which are effective against more resistant viruses, including enveloped and non-enveloped ones. The Intensive 70°C programme and the Machine Care maintenance programme in BOSCH dishwashers meet these criteria (Hygiene Level 3 label).
Unleash the full power of detergents
Using the right amount of detergent is crucial for optimal washing results. The DosageAssist feature on the BOSCH SMV6ECX20E Serie 6 dishwasher ensures that the detergent tablet dissolves completely in a special collection tray at the top of the basket. A targeted jet of water distributes the detergent evenly, controllably, and quickly throughout the dishwasher's interior. The result is a more effective and quieter wash.
ActiveWater technology
We designed the ActiveWater system to wash dishes thoroughly while minimising resource consumption. Instead of just using more water, it uses it more efficiently. Thanks to targeted spray, rapid circulation, and advanced filtration, our dishwashers achieve hygienically clean and sparkling dishes. This efficient design allows us to achieve these results with less water, and therefore less energy to heat it.
Quiet operation
Dishwashers with a SilentPowerDrive provide an effective wash with a low noise level. They are equipped with a brushless motor designed for energy-efficient operation. The motor helps to reduce friction noise and contributes to the appliance's smooth and quiet running.
Intensive Zone function
The Intensive Zone function (optional on selected programmes) increases the spray pressure and temperature in the lower basket. This results in a thorough wash for heavily soiled pots and pans, while you can safely wash more delicate dishes in the upper basket.
Automatic programmes
Different dishes require different settings. Automatic programmes adjust the water temperature and wash time according to the load size and soil level. This means you use just the right amount of water and energy needed – for the best results without having to think about it.
Statistics (Home Connect)
The Statistics feature in the Home Connect app gives you a clear overview of how you actually use your appliances. You can see which programmes and settings you choose most often, as well as your total energy and water consumption over time. Thanks to the 12-month history, you can easily track how your choices affect consumption month by month – giving you a clear picture of your daily habits.
Consumption forecast
Wondering how much energy and water a particular programme will use? The Consumption Forecast feature in the Home Connect app shows you the estimated energy and water consumption, as well as the expected duration, for any combination of programme and optional function you select. This lets you easily compare options and choose the programme that best suits the current load in your dishwasher and your needs.
Remote diagnostics
When an appliance isn't working as expected, remote diagnostics can help. With your permission, customer service can remotely check the appliance's status, locate the problem, and recommend a solution – or prepare a service visit so the technician has everything they need.
Voice control
Thanks to Amazon Alexa compatibility, you can also control the dishwasher with your voice. Check if the 'Home Connect' skill is available in the Alexa app for your country and language. Activate it to link your Amazon Alexa device and your home appliance.
Your favourite programme at the touch of a button
Simplify your routine. The Favourite Programme function lets you save a combination of your most-used programme and an additional function. You can then start it with a single touch – via Home Connect or directly on the control panel.
Lifetime AquaStop warranty against water damage
Every Bosch appliance undergoes precise checks according to strictly set standards for quality, performance and sustainability. All Bosch dishwashers have the AquaStop system and a lifetime warranty against water damage, as well as a ten-year warranty against rusting of the dishwasher's inner tub.
