Using the BLACKMONT charger is very easy and requires only a few steps. The first step is to check the voltage and chemical composition of the battery, followed by checking that the terminals and mains cable are correctly connected to the socket. Then just press the CHARGER button and the BLACKMONT Battery Charger will automatically detect the type and capacity of the battery and start charging, which isfinished by pressing the CHARGER button again. In addition, you will be able to set parameters or use special modes.
- Charging current setting - You can use button 2 to set the charging current during charging. Setting too high a current when charging a low capacity battery can lead to shortened battery life, and conversely, charging at low current extends battery life
- Battery Type Setting - press and hold button 3 to select the type (chemical composition) of the connected battery in the order of normal, AGM, gel and lithium, and a short press to set the battery voltage for 6, 12 or 24 V
- Emergency starter/winter charging - short press of button 4 enters the winter charging mode in low temperatures, or press and hold it to start the vehicle engine (emergency starter can only be used with 12V batteries)
- Battery repair mode - briefly press button 5 to enter battery repair mode, which can be used if you feel the battery capacity dropping or if the battery cannot be charged in any mode
