The BioLite CampStove 2 cooker is BioLite’s newest CookStove model, which came from four years of development. Compared to its predecessor, it boasts 50% more power, an integrated 2400mAh battery, and new colour LEDs for better control and feedback (you can read about charging, fans and the fire itself). The cooker is easy to handle, thanks to its relatively small weight (935g) and folding aluminium legs.
If you burn only wood, the CampStove 2 cooks a fire to cook food or heat water - all without unpleasant smoke. Its greatest advantage is the ability to create electricity through combustion. Using twigs, you not only cook food, but also can even recharge your mobile phone via USB. With such a fire, you can create up to 3 watts of electricity to charge your phone in real-time, or save the energy by using the built-in battery for later use.
Correct air circulation, better combustion and smoke minimisation are provided by 4 internal fans, which are significantly improved over the older model, and increase the efficiency of this model. You will cook the water in such a cooker in just 5 minutes (depending on climatic conditions). This unconventional cooker is made of aluminium, stainless steel and durable plastic.
