Types of bagless vacuum cleaners

• Classic vacuum cleaner - consists of a movable part, which houses the motor and the dirt container and attached to the main rod.
• Stick vacuum cleaner - Engine and dirt container is located in the vacuum rod. Stick vacuum cleaners do not have a hose, therefore it needs less power.

How to choose a bagless vacuum cleaner

Engine power

Greater power is required for proper air flow in the chamber of the vacuum, because of the centrifugal operation. Weaker vacuum particles may not properly spin - these can get into the filter, which can then block it.

suction power

Suction capacity should reach at least 300 W, to make sure that the cyclone effect will be effective and will not clog the filters. Bagless vacuums tend to have lower efficiency than the bag and suction power is about 1/3 power.

type of filtration

We recommend choosing a certified HEPA filter, which are made of fiberglass. They are generally more durable and effective than fabric. Some vacuum cleaners have washable filters - for other vacuums the filter must be replaced after fouling.

• Microfilter - Basic type micro filters. It is made of fabric or foam.
• HEPA and EPA - Certified filters developed by NASA. Vacuum cleaner filters are used EPA 10-12 and HEPA 13 and 14. The higher the number, the higher the degree of filtration. Allergy recommend HEPA filters 13 and above, which captures up to 99.9% of bacteria.

Bagless vacuums are generally noisier than the bag varieties, specifically they range from about 65 to 90 decibels. Vacuums above 80 dB (phone ringer volume) can be described as noisy.

The main nozzle

• Floor (Universal) nozzle - basic nozzle supplied to most vacuum cleaners. With retractable brushes, clean floors and carpets.
• Turbo brush (rotating brush) - used primarily for cleaning carpets. The nozzle is fitted with one or more rotating brushes which comb through the carpet using the bristles of the brush. It rotates due to air flow into the tube.

• Crevice tool - is particularly suitable for cleaning the seats and other folds.
• Small universal nozzle - is helpful in vacuuming dust on cabinets and tables.

• Container volume - ranges between 0.4 and 5 l. The larger volume containers allow you to vacuum for longer.
• Cable length - with long cables you can clean a large area without changing the sockets. Length of the cable varies between 5 to 15 meters.
