AXAGON ADE-TRC, USB-C>GLAN, Metal Gray

AXAGON ADE-TRC, USB-C>GLAN, Metal Gray
The AXAGON ADE-TRC external network adapter quickly and reliably connects your computer, laptop, or mobile phone to a wired Ethernet network. This compact adapter easily turns a modern USB-C interface into a full-fledged RJ-45 network port, supporting transfer speeds of 10/100/1000Mbps. It offers a practical solution for desktops or ultrabooks that lack a network connector and can also replace a malfunctioning integrated network card on a motherboard. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 and the Thunderbolt 3 interface expands its potential uses.
Key features of the AXAGON ADE-TRC network adapter, USB-C>GLAN, Metal Grey
- Aluminium casing ensures high mechanical durability and efficient heat dissipation
- Automatic Plug and Play installation requires no manual driver search
- USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 interface operates with a transfer speed of up to 5Gbps
- Wake-on-LAN support enables remote computer startup
- Powered directly from the USB bus with no need for an external power source
- Two integrated LED indicators show the current network status and connection
Durable metal body and effective cooling
The aluminium construction provides the internal components with reliable mechanical protection during frequent transport. The metal casing also acts as a heat sink, dissipating the heat generated during intensive data transfer. With a low weight of 26g and compact dimensions, the adapter takes up almost no space in your laptop bag.
Fast connection with the AXAGON ADE-TRC network adapter
The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, with a throughput of 5Gbps, prevents any slowdown in gigabit network traffic. This lets users take full advantage of LAN transfer speeds of up to 1Gbps for smooth downloads of large files or streaming online content in high definition. The integrated 15cm cable offers enough flexibility for convenient connection.
Advanced processor offloading
The network adapter uses hardware features to reduce the load on the main computer processor. This includes the IPv4/IPv6 packet Checksum Offload Engine, which takes over the control and generation of checksums directly on the Realtek RTL8153 chip. This frees up the processor's computing capacity for other system tasks. Hardware support also includes TCP Large Send Offload versions V1 and V2, and priority encoding at the second network layer, IEEE 802.1P.
Modern power management and energy saving
The device uses the IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standard, which significantly reduces power consumption during periods of no data traffic. Other supported technologies include advanced power management features like ACPI and Microsoft Always On Always Connected. It is powered exclusively via the USB bus, so there is no need to carry any additional power supplies.
Easy setup with no installation
With full support for Plug and Play technology and the CDC-ECM standard, installation on modern operating systems is completely automatic. After connecting to a USB-C port, the system configures the necessary drivers on its own without any user intervention or software downloads from the internet. The adapter works seamlessly with Windows, macOS, Linux, and selected Android phones.
Remote computer wake-up
Integrated Wake-on-LAN support allows a computer to be turned on or woken up remotely over the network. Wake-on-LAN via Magic Packet and RealWoW! technology for startup via an internet connection are both available. This simplifies computer management in both home and business environments. The card also supports the ECMA-393 proxZzzy standard for managing the network connections of sleeping hosts using proxy servers and detecting link status changes.
