Rodent repellent systems keep rodents away from your car, protecting electrical wiring, ignition wires, brake and cooling lines, belts, gaskets, and other parts of the car that rodents like to chew on. You can find spray repellents or electrical repellent devices.

Spray repellents
Create a sticky residue whose odour repels virtually all rodents. A good spray repellent can even withstand prolonged rains. Spray repellents are cheaper compared to electrical repellent systems, but their effect fades after a few weeks, which means you have to reapply the spray.
Electric repellent systems
These emit ultrasonic tones undetectable by the human ear, but highly unpleasant and distressing for rodents. The repellent system is connected to the battery and placed in the engine compartment. Their high efficiency remains constant throughout their entire lifespan, but repellent devices are more complex and therefore more expensive than repellent sprays.
