The Arduino 9 Axes Motion is based on the BNO055 Absolute Orientation Sensor from Bosch Sensortec GmbH.
The BNO055 is the integration of a three axis 14 bit accelerometer (three axis acceleration sensor), a three axis 16 gyroscope (three axis tilt sensor) with a range of ±2000 degrees per second and a three axis geomagnetic sensor (3 axis Earth Magnetic Field Sensor). The 32 bit microcontroller runs the FusionLib BSX3.0 software, which evaluates individual variables for each axis separately.
From this, a sensor can be created to include different starting signals for the resulting action. The starting signals being Euler angles (3D rotation), rotation vector, linear acceleration or gravitational vector. The product is TinkerKit compatible, which means you can quickly create a variety of projects by connecting TinkerKit modules.
Arduino is an open electronic platform based on user friendly hardware and software. It is designed for anyone who wants to quickly create simple, interactive and fun projects. Arduino is for everyone who wants to learn to program or just understand how modern technology which surrounds us works. Arduino is actually a computer that can use the different sensors to perceive the outside world and react to it, for example, by starting motors, lighting up LEDs or whatever you can imagine.
The main advantages of the Arduino platform are the ease of use, the huge amount of compatible hardware, Arduino shields, a good price and, above all, the support of the huge community of Arduino enthusiasts. Through this global group, you can find guides for almost anything, from the use of Arduino as a toaster, the construction of a 3D printer, or sending into space as a satellite.
