APC Back-UPS ES 550

Powerful backup source ideal for home or office workstations.Thanks to its unique appearance and compact dimensions, it can be placed under the table, for example. It includes 4 protected and backed-up Euro jacks and 4 protected surge arresters. Battery charging time is approximately 16 hours. After that, the battery lasts up to 15 minutes at half-time and less than 5 minutes at a maximum take-off of 330W. This gives you sufficient time to complete the work done and shut down the system correctly. This is also aided by the supplied PowerChute control software that safely shuts down the computer and prevents data loss. The panel is equipped with LEDs to indicate the status and, when the backup battery is low, produces a beep. This version is delivered in new improved packaging with Czech and Slovak print.
One of the back-up output sockets is labeled "Master", 3 sockets with overvoltage protection are labeled "Slave". The saving is due to the  Slave sockets being turned off when the device connected to the Master socket is turned off. This function is activated by pressing the button labeled "Master Enable button".
At the output of this UPS is an approximated sinusoid, which is sometimes poorly evaluated by active PFC sources as undervoltage or current failure. This is also the case for "better" brands, such as Chieftec sources of the GPS series or Delta sources (used by HP). We therefore recommend exclusively full-value Smart-UPS servers.
