One way to take virtual reality to the next level is to track eye movements. This is yet another parameter that can be used, not only for control, but also to improve performance. We are proud to introduce the aGlass add-on for HTC Vive, developed by 7invensun. These are two modules that can be embedded in HTC Vive glasses to allow sensors to track the movements of the user's eyes. They do not in any way affect the user's field of vision. In addition to expanding developer capabilities, eye tracking also offers a way to reduce the processing power needed for virtual reality experience. Instead of rendering the entire scene at the highest quality, it allows the device to render high quality only in the area of the glasses where the user is actually looking. The rest, which is only in the peripheral vision, can be rendered with lesser quality.
