Adelle Davis Liposomal Glutathione 200 ml

Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant[1] that the body can create on its own and the body recycles it. If too much toxicity[2] occurs, this body function fails. Glutathione is capable of preventing damage to important cellular components caused by free radicals (see footnote) and heavy metals. Due to our diet containing many unwanted substances, polluted environment, stress, chemical drugs and overall improper lifestyle, the body cannot produce glutathione in sufficient quantities. That's when it is necessary to help the body and supply it. Glutathione has its own specific smell, which is due to the sulphur component in its composition. Sulfur acts as a scavenger of unwanted substances in our bodies, including free radicals, poisons and heavy metals[3].


[1] Antioxidant:
A substance that limits or reduces the amount of free radicals. Free radicals are very small harmful particles. Because they are free, they want to attach to something, so they attack cells, they damage them. The cells then spill into their surroundings, and because there are substances in the cells that cause decomposition, this damages the surrounding cells as well. Thus begins the inflammatory process. Free radicals can damage or disable important parts of the body. Free radicals are caused mainly by improper lifestyle (poor diet, little exercise, smoking...) or chemical stress from the outside (air pollution, radiation, etc.).

[2] Toxicity:
Czech for poisoning. Toxic means poisonous (toxikon was a poison in which arrows were dipped). Toxicity occurs when too many harmful substances enter the body - e.g. improper diet, use of chemicals or ingestion of toxic chemicals (e.g. from air pollution, etc. ).

[3] Heavy metals:
Very toxic substances that are classified as metals. The most harmful to humans are mercury, cadmium, lead. They are very difficult to remove from the body.

In very simplified terms, the dietary supplement itself is encased in tiny bubbles (called liposomes, hence the name liposomal, and produced by a special process from the natural substance lecithin). These mini-bubbles protect the food supplement and, in addition, they "understand" the walls of the intestines, so they can easily get into the blood through them, which brings them to the cells themselves. They also get along with them, so that the cell very easily receives the "shipment" and therefore more than 90% of the glutathione gets where it needs to go and is used. In addition, this form does not burden the stomach.
