UV filters belong to a group photo filters suitable for everyday shooting, so it is not necessary to take them off the lens at all. With their use, it is possible to achieve better clarity and accurate colours. The advantage is the better mechanical durability of the lens, therefore, it is not so easy to scratch or to damage the lens.
The HD filter series uses hardened optical glass. The HD glass has a 4x higher breaking strength in ANSI standardised testing - rated against steel balls of varying size and weight dropped from a height of 50" onto the glass.
