The LX470W is a 47" Full HD monitor, the first representative of the LX (Large Display) series designed for viewing DICOM images, including X-rays, or interactive video playback in high resolution. Though in its present form the monitor is designed primarily for medical use (operating rooms), thanks to its high durability and image quality it can also find its use in other fields (video, photo viewing, 24/7 surveillance systems).
The monitor features a high-quality IPS LCD panel with Full HD 1920x1080 resolution and extreme brightness range (70-700 cd/m2) while maintaining a high contrast ratio (1000:1). It is therefore also suitable for viewing from a distance. Thanks to the wide viewing angles, images can be viewed simultaneously by several people with the highest quality reproduction and minimal colour shift. Its fast response time and minimal video lag (typ. input lag = 1 fm) make the monitor suitable for interactive image reproduction, such as real-time reproduction of images taken in the operating room, video games, etc.
Aside from its exceptional parameters, the monitor is also unique in its design. The LX470W is IP54 certified for wet environments, which means it can be safely used in environments with liquids and other potentially damaging factors. Another practical feature is its integrated USB hub for easy and simple connection to external USB devices. The monitor is also surprisingly energy-efficient. Despite its large size, its power consumption is about one half of similar panels in this category.
The LX470W is designed for a broad range of uses and the sheer number of digital and analogue inputs reflects its versatility. It includes HD-SDI, HDMI, DVI-I, and even analogue D-Sub15, S-Video, YPbPr and composite. The monitor can also be used in environments with critical splash hazard because its screen is equipped with an effective panel protector that secures the screen from water and other liquids (IP54). The LX470W is also certified as a medical device for operating rooms (CE-Medical Device Directive).
