Choose a large-format display by its native contrast
This Samsung commercial monitor has a native contrast of 1200:1. The native contrast ratio of a commercial monitor is an indicator of the difference between the brightest and darkest displayable point. If a large-format display has a contrast ratio of 3000:1, it means the brightest point (white) is 3000× brighter than the darkest point (black). Better detail resolution in both dark and light areas of the image is the result of a higher native contrast.
