For the body itself, it is necessary to acquire one or lenses. Do not forget to think about other accessories that will benefit your photography, such as external flashes or a remote shutter release. Every manufacturer offers accessories that are compatible only with its cameras, so if you're thinking about improving your existing model and all the accessories you already have, purchasing a separate body is the right choice

Important Parameters to Consider When Selecting an SLR Body
Sensor Size
The sensor size has a significant effect on the resulting photo quality. Generally, the larger the sensor's dimensions, the better the results will be, especially in low lighting - it captures more light, which reduces the interferrence and increases quality.
- The quality of the resulting photo depends on the size of the sensor and the size of each pixel
- Full Frame - a sensor of the same size as the 35mm frame; these are usually found in high-end models.
- APS-C - half the size of Full Frame sensors. They are mostly used in intermediate models.
- 4/3" - approximately one quarter size compared to Full Frame sensors; standard for Olympus and Panasonic system cameras.
If you still do not know what parameters to follow when choosing the SLR, we've guided you through the How To Choose a Compact Camera with a Removable Lens.
Sensor Resolution
This parameter shows how many points in the horizontal and vertical direction the image is made of. Here too, the higher the resolution, the more detailed the picture - 4K is used especially for large-format printing and video.
- Ultra HD (3840 × 2160) - Contains four times the pixels of Full HD resolution, which is reflected in the size of the resulting file
- 4K (4096 × 2160) - Contains more pixels than Ultra HD, but does not have a 16:9 aspect ratio and therefore does not use the full screen area of a wide-screen TV
- Keep in mind that with increasing resolution, the size of the resulting files is increasing
- Cameras without lenses offer photo resolution from 12 to 36 megapixels
Display
These cameras are equipped with a screen size of about 3 inches. Some types have a touch-screen display, which makes the control easier. Displays also differ in design - sometimes they are only up/down, but most can be rotated and tilted to many other positions.
Battery
The battery and its life depend on its total capacity. Battery capacity is between 680 and 1860mAh. In practice, this means you can get 210 to 750 shots per charge of the battery. The ideal solution for extending the shooting interval is to purchase another original or alternative battery.
Other Useful Features of SLRs
- WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC - Connect quickly to a smartphone or tablet to control the camera and use it to stream videos to the Internet.
- Optical stabilisation - especially useful for videos; ensures smooth shots in perfect clarity.
- Optical Viewfinder - Very accurate view of the scene being shot.
- Waterproof - Allows you to shoot even in unfavorable and wet weather.
- GPS - adds coordinates to pictures so you can recall exactly where you took the video / photo.
